Two lawyers speak in defence of ‘X’, an immigrant with no papers who is to be deported. The audience takes up the position of the judges: it is up to you to pronounce the imaginary judgement and perhaps set a precedent for future legal cases.

In a container deposited in a suburb of Kinshasa, the Dutch theatre-maker Lotte van den Berg and several fellow artists have set up a workshop from where they coordinate artistic projects. Through various media the inhabitants of Kinshasa and of the Dutch city of Dordrecht are brought into dialogue with one another.
